Kristine Richmond
Kristine is a Certified Bodywork Practitioner, not a Registered Massage Therapist.
She has over 1000 hours of training in multiple modalities.
Kristine Richmond has over twenty years experience in the health and wellness field as a Bodyworker, Somatic Educator and Yoga Instructor. She graduated with Honours at the top of her class from the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage, Deep Flow Academy and Yoga West in Vancouver, BC.
Kristine worked as a professional dancer locally and abroad for over 20 years prior to becoming a Bodyworker. She started dancing at a young age, gaining an early knowledge of anatomy and physiology, especially where it pertains to movement patterning and physical alignment. Always interested in bodywork and its profound effects, she contemplated different massage schools before deciding on the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage because of its balanced approach between holistic treatments and human sciences.
Shortly upon graduation from VSBM and starting her own practice she continued her education abroad under the instruction of Mylene Bergeron, the founder of Deep Flow Bodywork. Deep Flow sessions interweave Myofascial Release techniques, Manual Therapy, stretching, Yoga Therapy and Body-Mind Integration principles into a unique full body treatment tailored to each client’s individual needs with the intention of rebalancing the body’s alignment. Kristine is an advanced practitioner. Her specialty is bringing clients relaxation and pain relief from musculoskeletal tension brought on by poor posture and chronic tension. Kristine's unique style of bodywork and massage is both therapeutic and deeply relaxing, making her an in-demand practitioner across the Lower Mainland.
Kristine's small, boutique-style wellness center hosts a number of complementary holistic health practitioners. Momentum Bodywork and Massage won the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce Platinum Award for Business of the Year in 2017 for its contribution to the city's business community.
Kristine is passionate about expanding her knowledge base through her own continuing education to provide her clients with the best care possible, measuring her professional success by the health, well-being and happiness of her clients. Her curiosity about the human body and its full potential makes her an excellent, intuitive and caring bodywork practitioner.
Kristine believes in giving back to her clients and community. She is passionate about environmental causes and animal welfare, donating her time and all proceeds from her wellness store to the SPCA and local animal rescues, the Canadian Cancer Society and various Arts Organizations.
