Essa made connections for me that I hadn't considered...She is very calming, very confident and knowledgeable. Vancouver local, Essa found her way on to her mat about 10 years ago. Within her first few visits to the studio she felt that she wanted to be the teacher. Being that she was a young single mom at the time, and working to provide for her son, those thoughts were pushed aside.
Over the course of the next decade Essa felt called to her mat, although the actual focus and dedication she gave it would rise and fall with the tides. A few years ago she started practicing regularly, and soon found her life taking another change of direction, leading her back towards finding her voice as a trained yoga teacher.
Essa completed her foundational training at the Vancouver School of Yoga, located in beautiful Gastown, BC. She has completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training as well as 300 hours in The Foundations of Yoga Therapy. Essa is working towards obtaining her yoga therapy certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She approaches all of her classes from a therapeutic standpoint and offers her students the space to find what feels good in their bodies. Her specialties are Restorative Yoga classes and Private Yoga Therapy sessions.
Essa is passionate about sharing her love of this beautiful practice with any and all who are open to receiving. She looks forward to seeing your blissful smiles at the end of a delicious savasana. She teaches all of our yoga classes and offers Yoga Therapy Sessions and Private Yoga Classes to clients by appointment.
